Dippankar’s love for fish and deep interest in category value chain are the driving forces behind Jalongi.com. He also brings in 25 years of experience in Retail, CPG and Consumer Technology.
Dippankar was the Business Head for Digital Vertical at Walmart JV in India. For the same venture, as Business Head - Supermarkets he also built & managed 100+ Easyday Stores. He was the founding CEO at Wadhawan Retail (DHFL Group, Mumbai) and built and consolidated a chain of 70 stores under brand names Spinach, Sab Ka Bazar, Smart Retail and Sangam Direct, a non-store format in Mumbai acquired from HUL, India.
Dippankar holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) in Marketing & Business Policy from I.I.M. Ahmedabad and a BE in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur.

Nilanjan Mukherjee, Cofounder
A foodie and a fish lover, Nilanjan and Dippankar were part of the team that build Mobile business at Usha Martin Telekom (Now Vodaphone) in Kolkata.
Nilanjan is one of the pioneers of the Indian Telecommunications industry, credited with launching the first mobile communication network in India back in 1995 and also the country’s first pre-paid telephony.
He was responsible for launching the brand Idea Cellular, one of the leading consumer brands in India today. During his long and rich spell in telecommunications, he was CEO for a 4 Bn USD mobile network, headed Marketing and Commercial functions in leading Indian Telcosand was responsible for various new technology launches like 3G and 4G services. He has handled multiple mergers, regulatory challenges and technology disruptions to create growth and revenue opportunities. Amongst his many brand partnership and alliances would include Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp etc.
He also launched his own digital app and has been a digital and Telecommunication consultant to leading brands worldwide.
A Bachelor of Arts (English) from Kolkata University, Nilanjan loves Music and Yoga.
Arnab Bose, Head - Customer Acquisition & Engagement
Arnab brings with him a rich experience of 19+ Years in the domain of Customer Life Cycle management and experience. Being employed with various Hotels & Clubs and then with Airtel, the largest Telecom Service Provider in the country; nuances of customer experience management has become a natural traitfor him.
Heading the Service operations of a circle with the Telecom Major has given him immense exposure to Process Controls, Customer Life Cycle Management, Field Operations, Customer Retentions and Engagement, Call Center operations to name a few.
As the Head Acquisitions and Engagement, he devises engagement plans and drives operational excellence. He is also helping the business with training and career development of the resources.
A Hotel Management Graduate from IHM Taratala, a foodie and one who loves to cook is a perfect match for the business. Arnab is passionate about the art of Aquascaping and Nature Aquariums; he spends his leisure time with his Aquariums and also has interest in Canine Behavior and obedience training.
